Mobi Silver Fox & The Western Hero: Warrior Reforged: A LitRPG/Wuxia Novel - Book 2 with FREE MOBI EDITION!

I am not sure why - but in this book (i) the MC seems much more childish and immature than in the first book, and (ii) the writing also seems more immature (change in editor, perhaps?).On point (i), the MC seems to have zero self-control and keeps doing strange things on whim - like a thirteen year-old - then rationalizing it because the outcomes are mysteriously fortunate for him. So he learns nothing. Based on this attitude, I really want to see him fail rather than succeed. It is the opposite of progression fantasy personality-wise, though the MC does become more powerful.On (ii), here's one example of strange writing choices more fitting for a children's book. In the middle of a vicious, and I imagine fast-paced fight, a slaver takes the opportunity to monologue an entire paragraph childishly: "Fool! You thought you could best me? You thought you had a chance against a true cultivator? Those fools but gave me the time to focus upon my greatest art! Fire Serpent's Kiss! Prepare to die, Jianghu worm! Your vile treachery ends here and now!"This book was a huge disappointment to me.
